India Street is a quiet cobbled street in the centre of Georgian Edinburgh, close to the village atmosphere of Stockbridge where there are high quality delicatessens and cosmopolitan restaurants and cafes.

Turning right from the house, you can walk to George Street in 5 minutes, renownedfor its prestigious shops and then continue through historical Edinburgh towards the Castle via the Princes Street Gardens. If you turn left out of the house, it is a pleasant 15 minute walk through Stockbridge and by the Water of Leith to the Botanical Gardens.
